The Micro-enterprise program is for individuals who have an entrepreneurial spirit. Participants in this program learn how to develop a small business that aligns with their talents and interests.
The entrepreneurs are taught to develop a business plan and research the marketability of their product or service. They also learn how to create, finance and implement their business.
The micro-enterprises started through this program include jewelry making, snacks, bottled water, home-made cookies and soy candles.
Participants in micro-enterprise are referred through contractual agreements with LCMHA and Michigan Rehabilitation Services.
